Analogue video to DVD digital and digital video file conversion
We transfer VHS tapes including the camcorder VHSc compact tapes. And most of the camera / camcorder tapes 8mm, Hi 8mm, miniDV and compact DVD camcorder disc.
You can have your video tapes transfered to DVD and / or have them converted to a digital video file format of your choice and then transfered to a USB memory device.
We are happy to advise on suitable USB storage device.
We do not supply USB storage devices.!

Things to look out for when checking the condition of your video tape.
Over time and use your tape may be worn or damaged, especial at the beging and end of the tape due to stretching.
Everytime you play or record over a tape a tiny layer is removed thus reducing the overall quality or the the recording.
A tape that has hardly ever been used kept in a sealed case and stored in a cool dry place is best.
The quality depends on the how good the original recording was and how good a grade of tape it is.
Some tapes fade and /or suffer from colour loss or colour bleed, especially reds and whites.
Fast forward or rewind whilst in visual search mode wasn’t good for the tape or video player heads and could cause tape chew or snap the tape.
You can inspect the through the clear plast window on the surface of the tape for visible signs of damage.
Sometime the tape or the mechanism itself breaks or may be damaged. We can repair tapes and even rebuild a tape using a donor if the mechanism is beyond repair.
